WORKSHOPS
ABOUT
This Tai Chi workshop is for all levels and experience. Students will learn a
fluid series of Yang style movements. These are foundational movements from
the traditional 108 Long Form. Yang style is the most widely practiced form of Tai Chi
in the world today. It was developed by Chinese martial artist, Yang Lu Chan,
in the 1800's. Though Tai Chi has its roots in combat and self-defense, it is now
practiced for its many health benefits.
ON THE DAY
This workshop will begin with a Qigong, lead by Alissa Powell, to warm up
the muscles. Afterwards, you'll have the opportunity to see the series of movements
that you'll be learning. This will lead into a step-by-step instruction, lead by Bridget.
Alissa will finish the workshop with a guided meditation followed
by herbal tea & healthy snacks.
